Katie Eagleson returns to the Elkins Estate

Katie Eagleson returns to the Elkins Estate on November 22 as part of the White Pines Productions Concert Series.  She will be performing her new cabaret show “On the Other Hand.”  The show starts at 8:00 p.m. and admission is free.

The show “On the Other Hand” is a continuation of her latest CD of the same name.   The CD features 16 songs by 16 composers of the Great American Songbook.  The show will include titles from the CD as well as other gems by these masters, some songs familiar, some not so familiar.

One reviewer described the CD as “sixteen intelligently chosen and exquisitely sung masterpieces of the genre.”  Of her live performance, reviewer Michael Caruso said “The Great American Songbook is a treasure of American culture, and Katie Eagleson is one of those rare vocalists whose artistry both preserves and inspires it.”  Her CDs have been played worldwide on Sirius-XM Satellite Radio, WNYC, and other broadcast radio stations.

Katie will be accompanied by the Lenny Pierro Trio, with musical director Lenny Pierro on piano, Madison Rast on bass, and Grant MacAvoy on drums.

The Elkins Estate, located at 1750 Ashbourne Road in Elkins Park is an Italian Renaissance-style palace built by Philadelphian philanthropist and railway magnate, William Elkins at the turn of the century.  It showcases the grace and opulence of the Gilded Age in Philadelphia.

Free tours of the estate are available between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
